The Ministry of Administration and Finance (abbreviated as MAF) is a ministry of the Federal Republic of Newport. The ministry is headed by the Minister of Administration and Finance as part of the Cabinet of Newport.
The current Minister is catgirlmode. She was appointed by President Talion77 on July 21st 2026.
History
The Ministry was formed when President Talion77 assented to the Ministries Act on July 21st 2026. Shortly after, Amelia Rose was appointed as the first Minister of Administration and Finance.
Responsibilities
The Ministries Act tasks the ministry with the following responsibility:
- Handling the registration of businesses according to law.
- Handling the registration of political parties according to law.
- Administering elections according to law.
- Handling a national census.
- Handling the fiscal policies of the Government according to law.
Structure
The Ministry contains two subdepartments.
Ministry Leadership
Minister: Serving at the pleasure of the Chancellor. They lead the Ministry by appointing leadership, creating the ministries policies, internal structure and controlling the operations.
Subdepartment of Finance
Auditor: Auditors help audit registered corporations and banks
Subdepartment of Data
Data Analyst: Help run the National Census, and also run the District & Town Registry
