## Language. All language is to be kept within moderation, usage of slurs, excessive swearing, and inappropriate language is not allowed.

## Incorrect use of channels. Using chat channels for a purpose that they were not designated for (such as advertising in non dedicated channels, posting non-articles in news or using /question for other purposes than questions).
## Spam. Avoid sending several messages or images to spam or flood the chat.
## Discussion of other servers. We ask that players keep discussion of other minecraft servers to a minimum, references are fine to a reasonable amount but advertising servers or blatantly disrespecting other servers is not allowed.
# Lag
## Excessive entities. Do not cram dozens of entities in one area.
## Do not create redstone contraptions or machines that significantly contribute to server lag.
# Fair Play
## You must not use any unauthorised client modifications, more detail on authorised client modifications is ''here'' (link will be added once page is made).
## You must not use any form of unauthorised macros such as:
### Autoclickers.
### Afk avoiders.
## You must not abuse any form of glitch, bug, or exploit on the server.
## Duplicating items via abuse of exploits is not allowed.
## Abuse of permissions by using them for not their intended reason.
## You must only ever use one Minecraft account on DistrictRP, any usage of more than one account must be allowed by staff else punishment will be issued.

# Real world topics
## Discussion of real world politics is not allowed within public channels on discord or the minecraft server.
### The only exception to this is the “irl-politics” channel in the supporter’s section of the discord.
## Depictions of real world religion are not allowed on the server.
### Players may create religions for roleplay reasons but they must not mirror real life religions in name or belief systems.
### Buildings that resemble religious buildings in real life are permitted.
## Hate groups/symbols.
### Players found to build or draw hate symbols on the server will be punished.

Welcome to the DistrictRP Staff Guide! This wiki serves as a reference for any current Staff members. This will be updated as new systems are introduced and new policies are created.

Well, first off, if you're a new Staff member, welcome! This guide is exactly for you to reference whenever dealing with tickets, issues, or deescalating a situation.

Please feel free to edit this page, but make sure the information is correct first! This is what will be used by many new Staff members for however long this server exists, if your unsure please let another staff member deal with it.

== Structure ==
DistrictRP has a structure for its staff team, just like any server that you have ever moderated! This exists in order to prevent abuse with powers, for example a Moderator may have WorldGuard perms and ban/mute/warn perms, while a admin will have the same perms but with extra perms included such as /restart and server console perms.

Keep up the good work and help out the server and maybe you will be a Admin or Senior Admin someday!

== Moderators & Trial Moderators ==
As a Moderator your job is to help moderate the server! You manage punishments, deescalate situations, and make sure the community is a better place. There are many commands that you will use to help moderate the server. These are listed below:

=== Punishments ===
During your time as a moderator you will unfortunately have to issue punishments to individuals who do not listen to warnings. The server uses LibertyBans which can give out temporary bans, warnings, perm bans, and mutes.

Warnings are used to warn players of their wrong doing. You can warn somebody by issuing <nowiki><code>/warn {player-name} {reason}</code></nowiki>.

Mutes are used to mute players from talking in chat after being warned (usually). You can mute somebody by issuing <nowiki><code>/mute {player-name} {--duration} {1-9} (reason)</code></nowiki>.

Temporary Bans are used to temporarily ban a player who has not done enough to be banned forever, but has caused significate harm. You may issue a temp ban by <nowiki><code>/tempban {player-name} {duration} </nowiki>

Bans are used to punish players permanently, this is used for significate harm that someone has done, such as racism, hate speech, etc. You may issue a ban by doing <nowiki><code>/ban {player-name}</code></nowiki>.

Banning ips are for individuals who continue to log in with alt accounts after being banned on their main ip. You may issue either a temporary or full ban of its by <nowiki><code>/banip {player-name or ip}</code></nowiki> or <nowiki><code>/tempbanip {player-name or ip} {duration}</code></nowiki>

You may remove any of these by adding un- to the command.

=== Tickets ===
The server uses a ticket system called TicketManager. This system is for players who need support in-game for vaulting, regioning, etc. The commands are listed below along with steps:

When someone creates a ticket they use <nowiki><code>/ticket create</code></nowiki>, this broadcasts to all staff members that this person needs assistance in-game.

Major staff commands include, <nowiki><code>/ticket claim</code></nowiki>, <nowiki><code>/ticket close</code></nowiki>, <nowiki><code>/ticket listunassigned</code></nowiki>, and <nowiki><code>/ticket teleport</code></nowiki>. You may also do <nowiki><code>/ticket list</code></nowiki> to list all tickets and <nowiki><code>/ticket history</code></nowiki> to see all tickets in history made.

==== Process ====
When someone creates a ticket you do the following:

# The ticket creator, reason, and ID will appear.
# Once this appears if someone else has not claimed it do /ticket claim {ID}.
# After this do /ticket teleport {ID}.
# Ask what is the issue.
# Once they answer fix the issue that they are having to the best of your abilities.
# Once finished ask if there is anything else.
# If there is nothing else close the ticket using /ticket close {ID}.

=== Regioning ===
Somebody will open either a discord ticket or a in-game ticket. Claim the ticket and follow the ticket steps. The following are useful commands and the process of regioning:

DistrictRP uses WorldGuard, a regioning plugin that allows certain people to break and use items in certain areas. Major commands include, /region define {name} for creating regions, /region remove {id} for removing regions, and /region redefine for renaming a region.

==== Process ====
When creating a region for a player or government entity you must do the following:

# Grab a //wand or use your staff worldedit wand.
# If it is a cubiod shape (square or rectangle) continue if it isn't do //sel poly and follow those steps (explained later).
# Right click then left click to get an area for the region that the person or government entity wants.
# Do /region define {name} to create a region.
# If it is a government entity keep it and add the specific government role as members.

If this is a player wanting a rental region continue with these steps:

# Run /as add rent {region-name}
# To set price run /as setprice {price} {region-name} to set the price (ask what they want).
# To set duration run /as setduration {number} {days, hours, mins} {region-name}.
# Once you do those three things and they want a sign for it do /staff-givesign.
# Run while looking at the sign /as addsign {region-name}.

If the player wants a region removed do the following:

# If there is a sign present do /as delsign while looking at it.
# Once you have done that, select the region area and run /as del.
# After that run /region remove {region-name}.

This is a guide for all staff to be able to reference about Worldedit, Worldguard, and Areashop usage.

# Other Important Regioning Commands
## /staff-givewool (gives 16 yellow wool for regioning, dispose of any extra wool).
## /staff-givesign (gives 16 signs for regioning, dispose of any extra signs).
# Worldedit
## Worldedit is the primary tool for creating regions as well as is useful for copying, pasting, and cutting structures.
## Commands:
### //wand (gives you the selection wand allowing you to select an area)
### //sel (clears selection)
### //sel <type> (changes selection method)
#### Important types:
##### Cuboid (allows selection of a cuboid region by left clicking the first point and right clicking the second).
##### Poly (allows selection of a polygonal region by left clicking the starting point and right clicking subsequent points to outline the area).
### //expand <direction> <amount> (expands the selected region by the inputted amount in the inputted direction).
### //expand vert (expands the selected area all the way up and down).
### //copy (copies the selected area, where it copies from is relative to your position to the copied object).
### //cut (cuts the selected area, where it cuts from is relative to your position to the cut object).
### //paste (pastes the latest thing on the clipboard).
### //rotate <amount> (rotates the current object on the clipboard by the selected amount).
### //cut -e (cuts entities in the selected region).
### //undo <amount> (undos the last edit by the specified amount, if none is specified it will undo by 1).
### //redo <amount> (redos the last edit by the specified amount, if none is specified it will redo by 1).
### //thru <amount> (phases through the faces direction to the next occupiable space by the specified amount, if none is specified it will default to 1).
### //asc <amount> (ascends up to the next occupiable space by the specified amount, if none is specified it will default to 1).
### //desc <amount> (descends down to the next occupiable space by the specified amount, if none is specified it will default to 1).
# Worldguard
## Worldguard is the primary plugin that manages regions, regions can be stuff like the global region which is the primary region in each world, and other lower regions like districts, plots, and sub-plots.
## Commands:
### /rg i (gives info on the current region you are in).
### /rg i <region> (gives info on the specified region).
### /rg create <name> (makes a region with the specified name).
### /rg redefine <region> (redefines the area of a region).
### /rg delete <region> (deletes the specified region).
### /rg priority <region> <priority> (sets the priority of the specified region).
### /rg parent <child region> <parent region> (makes the child region the child region of the parent, if parent is left blank it will unparent the child).

### Sub-plots (rental regions and such) - 15
## Note: Only parent sub-plots to plots, do not parent plots to districts or districts to the global region. Do not parent a higher region to a lower region.
# Areashop
## Areashop is the primary plugin that manages buy plots and rental regions.
## Commands
### /as add <type> <region> (adds the specified region as the specified type).
### /as del <region> (deletes the areashop region but not the worldguard region).
### /as addsign <region> (adds a sign for the specified region to the sign you are looking at).
### /as delsign (deletes the sign you are looking at deregistering it from being a region sign).
### /as setduration <amount> <type> <region> (sets the duration of the region to the specified amount of the specified type).
### /as setowner <player> <region> (sets the specified player as the owner of the specified region).
### /as setprice <price> <region> (sets the price of the specified region to the specified price).
### /as setlandlord <player> <region> (sets the landlord of the specified regions to the specified landlord).
#### Make sure for all plots that the landlord is “DRPGov”, and for all sub-plots it is the overarching plot owner.

Staff Voting Bylaws

This document henceforth defines the abilities of each rank of staff and what they can vote on. For the purpose of allowing all staff to be equal and not instantly overpowered by other high ranking staff, each staff shall only ever have one vote in a matter that they are able to vote in, no matter the rank or status. In the case of a tie it shall be up to the Founders on how that tie is broken via vote amongst themselves.

# Votes
## Unless explicitly specified otherwise all staff votes shall require a majority (more than half) of staff who can vote on the vote in favour to pass.
## All staff votes shall only last 72h, where if the vote is tied at the end of 72h then the SPO shall have the ability to tie break as defined in §3 of this document. If a vote does not reach at least a majority of staff who can vote on the vote in favour after 72h then the vote shall fail. If a majority of the staff who can vote on the vote vote against it then it shall instantly fail.
# Amendments
## For the purpose of allowing all staff to have their voice heard, and to prevent overreach by senior staff, this document shall be an official document, overridden by none.
## This document shall only ever be amended via majority vote of all staff or majority vote of all Admins, System Admins, Senior Admins, and Founders.
# Staff Presiding Officer
## There shall be a staff member called the “Staff Presiding Officer” who is elected every 2 months (January, March, May, July, September, November), the election shall be held between the Senior Administrators, Systems Administrators, and Founders, where only the Senior Administrators, Systems Administrator, and Founders may vote and declare for the position. The election shall use the format of Instant Runoff Voting (“IRV”).
## The Staff Presiding Officer may also be referred to as the “SPO” in this and other staff documents.
## The SPO’s job is to manage and preside over staff votes. If there is ever a tie on a staff vote the SPO shall have the deciding vote, if the SPO does not break the tie within 48h of the tie then the vote shall be declared failed.
## The SPO is only to base every decision relating to votes (besides voting themselves and breaking ties) based on the facts and information given in official staff documents and not personal opinion or ideals.
## If at any time there isn't an SPO emergency elections for an SPO shall be held via the same method as normal elections for SPO.

## Interpretation and execution of these rules is entirely up to members of staff, staff has final say on all matters relating to these rules.

## It is up to the punishing staff member on how they punish players, but it is encouraged they punish reasonably. If a player finds a punishment unfair they may appeal it via an official punishment appeal method given by staff.

## Toxicity. All official and associated chats are to be kept respectful, unnecessary aggression is discouraged.

## Misgendering and deadnaming. Players must use the correct name and pronouns and avoid using incorrectly gendered terms. While mistakes happen, repeated misgendering (especially once corrected) will be considered malicious and punishment worthy.
## Low Effort Troll. Posting inappropriate content such as slurs and NSFW content within recently joining the server and or discord.
# Chat
## Language. All language is to be kept within moderation, usage of slurs, excessive swearing, and inappropriate language is not allowed.
## NSFW. No NSFW content is allowed in any chat anywhere related to the server.
## Incorrect use of channels. Using chat channels for a purpose that they were not designated for (such as advertising in non dedicated channels, posting non-articles in news or using /question for other purposes than questions).
## Spam. Avoid sending several messages or images to spam or flood the chat.
## Discussion of other servers. We ask that players keep discussion of other minecraft servers to a minimum, references are fine to a reasonable amount but advertising servers or blatantly disrespecting other servers is not allowed.
